Adult Formation

St. Martin’s is providing regular and consistent opportunities for adults to examine and exercise their faith beyond weekly worship services, including regular forums during the Christian Education hour between the 9am and 11:15 am services.

 

Following the theme “Journeying Faithfully With God and One Another,” the adult forum has offered updates to the structure of commissions and activities at St. Martin’s.

 

Adult formation provides opportunities for dialogue within our church on a number of topics. New member classes welcome adults to our parish and seek to incorporate them comfortably in parish life. Guest speakers have informed parishioners about the National Church Millennium Development Goals, addressed our concerns about our partnership ministry with the La Resurrection School in Haiti, and addressed community involvement.

 

We support and encourage individual involvement in retreats for women and for men at the Bishop Claggett Diocesan Center in Buckeystown, Md. We plan to explore books and activities that encourage Christian growth.
