Parish Life
For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.
The Parish Life Commission helps parishioners find a welcoming and joyful community of God in which to share fun and fellowship within joyful celebration. This commission sponsors many of the exciting and food-filled activities which are open to all.
Following are some of the opportunities for fellowship sponsored by the Parish Life group:
Ballroom Dance Lessons @ St. Martin's: The instructor, Chip Atwood, is a local ballroom dance instructor who gears his classes to social dancers who want to learn basic steps and variations. Dates and times for future classes will be announced.
Advent Wreath Making: On the first Sunday of Advent parishioners gather to assemble and create advent wreaths as we prepare for the coming of Christ.
Family Club: This group sponsors exciting activities where everyone is welcome. Events include the annual Parish Picnic and Games as summer begins, Family Bingo, Christmas Caroling, the camp out and a host of other opportunities for families of all ages to come together.
Mom’s Ministry: Mom's gather in to share adult conversation on topics of interest and happenings in the world, while their children play. All mom's are welcome. Events, dates and times vary. For more information, contact Melisa Van Gieson or Stephanie Santos-Songer.
Men of St. Martin’s (MOSM): This group provides fellowship, worship and service in the church and in the larger community. MOSM holds monthly prayer breakfasts with guest speakers; helps around our church and its campus; “mans” the grill and provides great fellowship. The men participate in Winter Shelter; Earth Day; Habitat for Humanity; they plan and help with Celebration of Ministries picnic, Super Bowl party, Shrove Tuesday pancake supper and so much more! Join us for fun & fellowship!
Dinners for Eight: Fun - Food - Fellowship! Here’s your opportunity to get to know fellow parishioners beyond Sunday morning. Join a group of eight for dinners, brunches, picnics of your choosing! To join a group contact Mary Ina Bourdon or Veronica Garabedian
Summer Barbeques: Summer Wednesdays, 6:00pm
All are welcome to join us for BBQ on Wednesday nights at 6:00 in June, July, and August. Dinner is $5 per person.
