Pastoral Care

That you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.

Pastoral Care is a group effort of the congregation and clergy in meeting the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of our parish family and our community. This responsibility, while falling on all of us, is guided by the faithful, caring leadership of dedicated parishioners Veronica Garabedian and Jeff Hider.

Stephen Ministry:  One-on-one caregivers trained to bring Christ’s presence into life crisis.  If you are in crisis and need of someone to walk with you on your journey, contact Jeff Hider or Libby Olton.  Understand Stephen Ministry more by watching the PBS Video:  http://www.pbs.org/wnet/religionandethics/episodes/april-9-2010/stephen-ministries/6044/.  Or simply visit their website at http://www.stephenministries.org/.

Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs):  This group shares communion directly from the Sunday altar with those who are unable to be in church.  If you would like to have communion brought to you, contact the church office.
Helping Hands:  This group of dedicated parishioners bring food or transportation when you most need it. If you need assistance or would like to provide meals or transportation to those in need, contact Abby Miller.

Healing Prayer:  Prayer strengthens our trust in Christ's active compassion.  Confidential prayer is offered every Sunday at the side chapel and occasional evenings as announced.  If you would like to join this prayer team, contact Libby Olton.

Daughters of the King:  The mission of the DOK is to be an extension of Christ’s Kingdom by taking the vow to follow a Rule of Life that includes daily prayer, service to our clergy, study and evangelism.

Men’s Circle:  Men who meet twice a month to share experiences and provide support to one another.  If you would like to join this group, contact Jeff Hider.

Prayer Shawls:  This group knits or crochets shawls to wrap parishioners in God’s love.  We are seeking a new contact person for this this popular and supportive ministry.
